TumbleTalking Books is a collection of over 300 on–line audio books (e–books), which may be listened to from your computer. This collection includes unabridged audio versions of American classics, world literature, non–fiction, fiction and some children's books. This collection was funded with Institute of Museum and Library Services Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) monies through the State Library of Ohio.
Who may use these?Any Ohio resident with an Internet accessible computer may listen.
Do I have to be a registered State Library patron?No. Anyone may listen simply by clicking on a link from the State Library's website. You do not need to be a registered patron or go through a separate registration/authorization process to access these. You must, however, connect to the TumbleTalking Book collection through the State Library's website.
How do I access this collection?Acces to the TumbleTalking Books collection must be from the State Library of Ohio's website.

Select the TumbleTalking Book Link on the State Government resource page
Select the TumbleTalking Book Link on the Ohio Resident resource page
The easiest way is to click on the Index tab from the TumbleTalking Books site. From there you can browse the list of titles. After clicking on a title you will be given a brief printed summary of the book. Click on the Listen Online button, or use your browser's back arrow to return to the Index.
Can I download these to my MP3 player or copy to CD–ROMs?No. Unlike other e–book services, TumbleTalking Books must be listened to on–line from your computer.
Are there limitations on how long I can listen on–line?No. There are no loan periods or restrictions on how long you can listen. You can listen at your convience, 24/7 from your Internet accessible computer.
Do I have to listen to the whole book in one sitting?No. You may place a bookmark by clicking on the Add A Bookmark button, and then pick up where you left off the next time you use the service by clicking on the Go To Bookmark button.
What are 2–in–1 Books?Some of the titles listed in the index have 2–in–1 noted after the title. These are Read–Along books. These books have text that will appear on your screen so you can actually read–along with the audio. The font–size of these can be easily enlarged to assist visually–impaired users.
