Reference & Research for State Employees

The State Library of Ohio exists to support the varied research needs of state employees. Materials can be emailed, faxed or sent via interoffice mail. Also, via OhioLINK services, state employees have access to many online research databases.

Reference & Research for Ohio Residents

While some services are exclusively for State of Ohio employees, anyone is welcome to visit or submit a research request by phone, mail, or email. The collection’s emphasis is on government related topics.

Queries will be researched and processed for a maximum of 30 minutes, longer when time permits. Research that results in up to 10 pages of copies is free of charge. More than 10 pages costs $.25 per page. A maximum of 50 pages will be provided.
