State Library of Ohio Board awards $631,331 in LSTA grants
The State Library of Ohio Board awarded seven LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) grants totally $631,331 at the September 27, 2007 meeting. The funded projects include grants for automation, innovative technology, services to targeted populations, services to youth and trading spaces (remodeling). The recipients include:The Ohio Christian University, Cincinnati Art Museum, Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County, Southwestern Ohio Consortium on Higher Education, Clermont County Public Library, Geauga County Public Library and Perry County District Library. The State Library administers the LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) program, funded through the independent federal agency IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services).

The U.S. Congressional Serial Set digital collection spanning the years 1789 to 1969 is now available online to all State Library of Ohio card holders.
Because the U.S. Congressional Serial Set is an historical record of all aspects of American life it has been called the Encyclopedia of American History. The Serial Set, which consists of American State Papers, the House and Senate Documents and the House and Senate Reports bound by session of Congress, are of special interest to historians, legal researchers, scholars and genealogists.
The Lexis-Nexis Serial Set digital collection spanning the years 1789 to 1969 is now available by remote access to all State Library of Ohio card holders. There is a link to the Serial Set search form on the Government Information page at www.library.ohio.gov/govinfo/slogovt.html under Quick Links on the right side of the page. At the prompt to log in, you must enter your username and patron id. Your patron id is the last nine digits of the bar code located on the back of your State Library of Ohio library card. If you do not have a State Library of Ohio card, there is an online patron registration form at www.library.ohio.gov /services/publicpatron.html
