- Ohio Libraries Share: MORE

-
A new upgrade with new features has prompted the name change to Ohio Libraries Share MORE from MORE. MORE was very cumbersome and time consuming for the librarians. OLS MORE has the potential to save librarians 70% of processing time with NCIP. With the other features such as, patron limits, unmediated AV request handing and OCLC Request handling feature, we are seeing a current time savings of 30 to 50%. We are currently working on implementing the NCIP feature with InfOhio schools and ClevNet libraries. NCIP eliminates double entry of a request into both the resource sharing and the circ system, as in standard ILL.
Refresher training is currently being offered in several different cities throughout March and April. Here’s the link to sign up: http://winslo.state.oh.us/cregister/sloh-sessions/. We are currently encouraging other libraries to become a part of Ohio’s resource sharing system by signing up for OLS MORE http://winslo.state.oh.us/more/checklist.htmlAngela Thomas, PMP
