History of the State Library of OhioState Librarian's Report The history of the State Library of Ohio is a rich tapestry of roles, collections, services and leadership. Each transformation reflects the economic, political, and cultural changes in Ohio and the nation. Throughout its history, the State Library, in conjunction with all types of libraries, has been fortunate to have the support of our government leaders and citizens. While reflecting on our past and the ups and downs of economic conditions and state budgets, it’s encouraging to see the role the State Library has played in the development of library services in Ohio.From the first State Librarian and collection to our present location, this issue features milestones in our history.
