On May 6th, 2007, I visited Pemberville Public Library to speak at their Open House. I feel very privileged to be included in community celebrations such as this. They were celebrating the addition of a children’s services area. This project was begun just last July. As you can see from the pictures, the children of the Pemberville Public Library community were very anxious to cut the ribbon and get to the material in their very own space!

And, of course, there were book celebrities on hand. You can see Madelyne and Olivia having their photo taken with Spot and Curious George. And one of me with those same celebrities.

Special thanks to Director Jane Kohlenberg and Assistant Director Laura King for inviting me to the celebration. I enjoyed seeing your wonderful addition and meeting so many members of your community and nearby communities. State Library Board President David Miller was also amongst the guests.
