Wauseon Public Library

When I visited Wauseon Public Library in November of 2006, Director Jody Pershing gave me a delightful tour of the facility. She and several of her Board members talked of the community need and their desire to create a space for the youngest members of their community. They showed me the room which was then being used for storage and talked of their plans to convert this space into a Children’s Room.
On June 10, I had the pleasure of attending the open house for this newly designated area of the library. The transformation was unbelievable! I had the privilege of speaking at this “grand opening.”
This is a tribute to the commitment of this community, Jody, her Board members and her staff to provide the best library service possible to all members of their community. I applaud their efforts – as you will see from the pictures, the children are already enjoying this very much!!
