Noteworthy - Findlay-Hancock County Public Library Receives Federal Emergency Management Agency Grant
The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library has received notice of a 1.43 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help pay for damage caused by the August 2007 flood in Findlay, Ohio. President Bush declared Findlay, Ohio a national disaster on September 11, 2007. The funds will be used to reconstruct the lower level of the building that was completely destroyed by the flood. The rest of the funds will be used for mitigation purposes. All of the mechanical systems that were destroyed during the flood will be moved above the base flood elevation level. The
