Advisory Committee Application

The Ohio eBook Project Advisory Committee currently has multiple member openings.  We are looking for staff members from a variety of Ohio eBook Project libraries: small, medium and large; rural, suburban, and urban; etc. The role of the Advisory Committee is to advise and counsel the State Library of Ohio on the implementation, development and evaluation of the Ohio eBook Project.

Examples of issues the Advisory Committee would discuss are: evaluate and set policies; set collection development guidelines; provide input on the Ohio eBook Project website; assist with any other consortium issues that may arise.

Advisory Committee members must be able to attend periodical meetings of the Advisory Committee.  There will be a minimum of one annual meeting as well as smaller web or digital informal meetings arranged as the need arises.  Members will actively participate in discussions and share information and ideas with the other committee members through the Advisory Committee Listserv.

A member may be dismissed by the State Library of Ohio if the member misses two or more consecutive meetings, or does not regularly participate in committee discussions.  The State Library of Ohio will appoint a replacement to fill the remainder of the term of the individual.

Member terms are for two (2) years with an option of renewal for up to four (4) consecutive years.  Interested members must receive permission to join the Advisory Committee from their library's Primary Contact and/or supervisor (if applicable).
